BIMStone project
About the project
Digitization of research methods and its online application in Open Educational Resource (OER) means offering a wide digitized space that allows users to access all the information needed for optimal, efficient and sustainable use of stone products.
Combining BIM and LCA methodologies and digitization in natural stone placing, shows the innovative nature of the BIMstone project.
Tasks
The main goal of the BIMstone project is to improve the skills of workers in the stone product placement sector, especially the placement of different types of floors and walls in buildings and urban environment, thus raising the quality of finishing works, durability of installed stone and environmental sustainability, using recyclable and acceptable materials, by interactive tools including methods that will give greater value to academic advancement.
The BIMstone project focuses on the progress and development of BIM-based multimedia tools, taking into account challenges related to assessment methodologies used - ”Life Cycle Assessment” of stone products, for educational purposes, for both vocational school students and professionals in their work, with the main goal being - achieving the set tasks.
