After visiting beautiful Brittany in November 2021, it was our turn at Klesarska School to host the guest\u00a0students. Enthusiastic students arrived in Pu\u010di\u0161\u0107a on January 12, 2022 (the day before they were\u00a0situated in Supetar and Split), they visited our school, greeted their well-known colleagues from school\u00a0and afterwards they also visited the exhibition of miniature churches and basilicas in the small church of\u00a0Our Lady on Botko, where they were warmly hosted by Mr Jo\u0161ko Radi\u0107. The cultural and artistic part of\u00a0sightseeing in Pu\u010di\u0161\u0107e could not be completed without a visit to the curch of St. Jerome, history of which\u00a0was told to them by Don Ivica Huljev, who proudly presented the \u201cPovaljska listina\u201d, being the oldest\u00a0surviving document written in Croatian Cyrillic carefully kept in the Pu\u010di\u0161\u0107e parish office.<\/p>\n
After a tour of the place and lunch in the student\u2019s dormitory, the students were divided into four\u00a0working groups: stonemason group (mentors: Sini\u0161a Martini\u0107-Cezar, Damir Ni\u017eeti\u0107 and Daslav Petrovi\u0107),\u00a0modeling group (mentors: Emil Trutani\u0107 and Tina Eterovi\u0107), computer drawing (mentors: Jakov\u00a0Babarovi\u0107 and Sandra Radulovski) and the CNC group (mentors: Jakov Babarovi\u0107, Sini\u0161a Martini\u0107-Cezar\u00a0and Denis Ni\u017eeti\u0107). Some of the work tasks including the following: familiarization with stone tools, work\u00a0with a point tool and demonstration, triskele modeling in clay and plaster casting – preparation for\u00a0carving or CNC, scanning of the finished triskele and scaling to a specific size: preparation for the CNC\u00a0machine on a board, machine preparation and many others.<\/p>\n
It is worth to mention that the triskele is a very important part of this project: it symbolizes the unity of\u00a0three beautiful countries – Croatia, Poland, and France, three materials – wood, French granite and Brac\u00a0stone, and the symmetry of the three basic elements – water, earth and fire, which beautifully created\u00a0by the authors of this international project.<\/p>\n
The students also visited Jadrankamen, the Jak\u0161i\u0107 gallery, and visited the natural beauties of the island\u00a0of Bra\u010d. The happy Erasmus generation is looking forward to the continuation of the project and further\u00a0travels and studies.<\/p>\n
